The Fox and the Stork
The fable “The Fox and the Stork”, told for kids card by card, with its illustrations and Fabi's voice. At the end, its moral.
Fabi tells you the story-

Card 1 of 6
A Table in the Garden
Fox invited Stork to lunch in her garden. She made some tasty soup and served it on two flat plates, just as she always did for herself. Delighted with her preparations, she called her friend over to sit down.
FoxI have made my favourite soup. I hope you like it!
StorkThank you for inviting me. It smells wonderful.

Card 2 of 6
A Difficult Plate
Fox began to lap up the soup from her plate and ate with ease. Stork, however, could not scoop it up with her long beak. She tried several times, but the soup spread out in a layer that was too thin.
StorkI cannot drink the soup from this plate with my beak.
FoxIt is so easy for me that I had not thought about your difficulty.
-

Card 3 of 6
An Invitation to Understand
Beside the plates, Stork explained that different snouts and beaks needed different things. She wanted Fox to understand for herself. She invited her to lunch the next day and promised to show her how it had felt.
StorkCome to my house tomorrow. I will show you why it was so difficult.
FoxI would love to. I want to understand better.
-

Card 4 of 6
A Different Jug
The next day, Stork served soup in two tall jugs with narrow necks. Her beak easily reached the bottom, but Fox's snout would not fit. When she tried to taste the soup, Fox understood her friend's difficulty.
FoxThe soup is there, but my snout cannot reach it.
StorkYesterday, I had a similar problem with my beak and your plate.
-

Card 5 of 6
Finding an Answer
Fox lowered her ears and apologised for not thinking about her guest. Stork answered with a smile. Together they put away the jugs and brought out two wide, deep bowls from which they could both eat comfortably.
FoxI am sorry. I should have thought about you too.
StorkLet us find something that works for us both. Shall we try these bowls?
-

Card 6 of 6
Truly Sharing
With the new bowls, Fox could bring her snout close and Stork could dip in her beak. At last, they both enjoyed the soup. Between sips and smiles, they discovered that a good invitation begins with making room for everyone's needs.
FoxFood tastes so much better when we can enjoy it together.
StorkAnd when we listen to each other, we always find a way to share.
