Two Ways to Grow
An old Oak and a little Reed lived beside a pond. Oak held his branches high with pride and boasted that he always stood stiff and straight. Reed listened as his green leaves swayed gently.
OakLook at me: I never bend. That is how you show strength.
ReedI move with the breeze, and my roots stay right here.

The Wind Rises
One afternoon, the wind began to ripple the water in the pond. Oak stiffened his branches and stood very straight. Beside him, Reed began to bend, moving with the air while staying firmly rooted in the ground.
OakI will stand as straight as ever!
ReedI will let the wind pass between my leaves.

Card 3 of 6

ReedHold on with your roots and let your branches move.

ReedChanging my position helped me stay here.
